Synopsis

When life becomes a monotonous cycle, it's not hard to grasp how someone could be pushed to the brink of violence, all in the name of feeling free. It becomes even more understandable if that person never even began to live, before being shoved out of the nest. With no gentle way out, the only chance to start anew is to snap chains and splatter organs.

Putting it that way, it was only a matter of time until Demian gave in. We can't prevent a tragedy, but we can cause their descent.

(A young adult on the verge of breaking discovers a flesh-eating parasite, who promises to help them finally live freely. They become the monster of your own making.)

If you're debating on getting this fuckiung get it for real. I've been on the edge of my seat waiting for trinkets new vn because their last one was a bomb. I like this one even more.

Compelling characters, story, the perfect about of intriguing, eerie, terrifying and suspense, the effects, art, and text is all used the perfect amount and the presentation of everything fits so professionally together and is just right.

My attention span sucks I have bad adhd but this one keeps my attention the whole time. I'm full completioning this when its out fr. Also the dev must be a workaholic bc the amount of art just in the demo alone is INSANE. I find a lot of vns lazy with just chunks of texts no choices and lack of art or just staring at busts only. The fact we get cgs in a demo is crazy, because AAA studios would never, which is funny bc they have the insane profit to do so. Support this game, play it, enjoy it, rate it, and tell ya friends. Gonna be making some more fanart soon.

wow... that was really really REALLY good.

i adored the writing. definitely felt like this deserved to be a visual novel. the main character's thoughts were conveyed extremely well, and i love how it picked up on even the smallest aspects of anything, without feeling overbearing. the word choices feel both super eloquent and simple enough to be believable. the dialogue was really natural and great at conveying subtle emotions. and the little "fuck you" moments demian has in every conversation were really entertaining lol.

the story is incredibly compelling. obviously this is a demo and the plot isn't even remotely done, but what's here is super creative and really makes you feel for the main cgaracter. i think even if someone hasn't gone through their exact experiences (which is kinda hard y'know, who amongst us hasn't drank up previously vomited divine alien goo from a dumpster?), there's something to relate to for everyone. either not being comfortable in your own skin, growing up without the love you need, feeling like you're stagnant in life, or just having to work at a shitty job every day at 7 AM to pay the bills are all things that (sadly) a lot of people can see themselves in... and it really speaks to the quality of the writing that, even with such a realistic setup, the alien/god/hallucination-from-lack-of-sleep doesn't feel remotely out of place in the story. it belongs perfectly. just fantastic.

lastly i'd like to mention the style. the art is really good and has a ton of personality, and i love the small twitches and movements characters will sometimes have between lines of dialogue. but the presentation is made even better with the super well placed pauses in the text, the use of shaky words, the sometimes REALLY uncomfortable sound design, the realistic backgrounds that add SO MUCH STYLE... it all adds up for a game with such a striking visual identity that i can't stop thinking about.

honestly, i have extremely little complaints about the game. maybe some parts were too stretched out for my taste, and chapter 1 is a bit tough to get through with all the non-stop shit that gets piled on poor demian's back haha. but yeah no, this is the textbook definition on how to do a demo. it's a real standout, and i can't wait for the finished game :D

Really great work! The atmosphere, the life with a crappy job and crappier managers, and the ones who surround us we can't really trust if they will understand the lives and thoughts we live with daily. You portray it well and your art and writing go hand in hand to tell the haunting story of the things that live within the self that controls us, and how we show it to the others outside is our choice... Or is it?

Very excited for the final chapters to release!

Woah...this is really so intense and written so eloquently- I love how this was made in rpgm, too! It really feels like a commercial VN! The premise is horrifying and really hits home, I think (as a poc, nb person among other things). The art and the music and sound effects really puts you in the scenes like you can close your eyes and just imagine you're really in the protagonists' shoes..

I'm so eager for more- this is really amazing, and it's a great showcase of your writing skills *AND* art! I got the ending and really loved all the snarky quips Demian has to say, considering their circumstances. I really loved knowing just what they were thinking and how they felt as even the smallest things irked them- and they play it off in a way that you can just TELL how they're gritting their teeth like "No, no. It's fine. Mm-hmm." when they're really just...so, so damn tired.

Like I said, I'm really excited for more to this story, and I think it sounds great so far!! Congrats on the demo release! :>
